Redding Spine and Sports Medicine is pleased to announce that it recently earned Electrodiagnostic (EDX) Laboratory Accreditation from the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). Joseph Purcell, DO, is the laboratory’s medical director.
EDX Laboratory Accreditation acknowledges laboratories for maintaining the highest level of quality, performance, and integrity based on AANEM’s professional standards. These standards evaluate diagnostic services and clinical operations essential to providing quality patient care, such as:

The rehabilitation physician will make an accurate diagnosis, calculate the physical and emotional barriers to recovery and develop a treatment and rehabilitation plan to optimize your performance. Most musculoskeletal conditions do not require surgery, but if surgery is required, the rehabilitation physician can determine the type and timing of the surgery required and make the appropriate referral to the best surgeon to perform the surgery necessary.
